Data Analysis

REACH Evaluation’s multidisciplinary team of researchers and analysts applies a variety of applied statistical techniques to most effectively translate complex data into easily interpretable and practical findings.

Because working with different types of data requires unique and innovative solutions, REACH Evaluation’s expertise with multiple statistical packages like STATA, SPSS, Mplus, and ArcGIS allows us to employ a range of statistical and analytic methods including:

  • Descriptive statistics to summarize and explore population characteristics;
  • Inferential statistics (e.g., regression modeling, factor and cluster analysis, structural equation modeling, time series models) to explain complex relationships between populations and relevant variables;
  • Outcomes evaluation to study the end result of health and human services or policies that improve evidence-based practices and decision-making; and
  • Geographic information system (e.g., geocoding, spatial cluster detection, and web mapping) to explore regional trends and identify high risk populations

REACH Evaluation works closely with researchers, program administrators, and other related entities to continually secure funds for grants with rigorous analytic components.  Collaborating with academic scientists also enables us to publish manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and further disseminate findings in the scientific literature.  With our knowledge of sophisticated statistical analysis, we will continue to work with clients to provide the most practical findings and act as a technical resource.
